Greetings, Pioneers!
Version 1.12 is here, and it brings exciting updates, essential fixes, and some game-changing enhancements to everyone’s Squad Legacy experience. Whether you’re fortifying your base or defending against the Voyagers, these changes aim to make your adventure in the Ultraverse more immersive and rewarding. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about Patch 1.12!
New Features
Squad Assist System
Introducing the Squad Assist System, a brand-new mechanic giving you the ability to team up with NPC allies to reinforce your efforts. Assign NPCs tasks like resource gathering, base repairs, or patrolling your perimeter for heightened defenses. These allies level up with you, unlocking additional skills to support your strategy.
Dynamic Base Events
Bases can now dynamically trigger special events such as resource surges, minor Voyager skirmishes, and environmental challenges like power surges. Each event brings both risk and reward, creating a more engaging experience within your base territory. These events test your readiness and encourage active participation in base management.
Refined Voyager AI
Prepare for more intense skirmishes! Voyager forces now strategize based on your base layout and overall defenses. They analyze your weak points, use flanking maneuvers, and even retreat to regroup tactics. This smarter AI adds complexity to Voyager battles, making victory feel even more rewarding.
New Artifacts and Legacy Items
The Ultraverse just got richer with seven new artifacts that add depth to the lore and offer unique bonuses. These can be found in hidden caches scattered across all zones, encouraging exploration and discovery. Don’t miss out on these opportunities to shape your legacy!
Gameplay Improvements
Enhanced Resource Nodes
Resource collection is now more intuitive, with new glowing indicators that highlight active nodes. Additionally, depleted nodes now regenerate over time, ensuring consistent access to building materials.Survival Mechanics
Players will now face greater environmental challenges in extreme zones (e.g., freezing sectors or volatile terrain). Improved survival tools have been added, including thermal modules and energy shields to mitigate biome-specific dangers.Combat Animations
Weapon animations and visual effects have received a significant overhaul. From smoother reload transitions to more dynamic melee strikes, battles now feel more visceral and responsive.Storage Optimization Tools
Managing resources has never been easier. A new Quick Transfer feature allows you to automatically send excess inventory to storage units at your base with a single action.
